Troubled football legend Paul Gascoigne may reportedly be slapped with an anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) after months of him pushing his neighbours to 'breaking point' with his drunken antics.

According to the Daily Star, the former England star, who has a well documented battle with alcohol since the beginning of his football days, was involved in a string of drunken incidents after his 100,000-pound stay in an US rehabilitation centre funded by his celebrity friends.

The report further said that an ASDO could stop him drinking in public or even place him under a curfew, although it must be proved that Gascoigne is persistently acting in an anti-social way causing 'harassment, alarm or distress' before he can be slapped with an ASBO.

Locals said that officers are paying regular visits to his apartment block in Bournemouth, Dorset, to monitor the situation, with one resident saying that Gascoigne does not want to get better despite being given help, adding that the residents are fed up of his antics.

The resident further said that Gascoigne had seemed drunk since he has been back and was also seen riding up and down in the lift over and over one night, adding that it is not fair on the residents of the apartment block, mostly pensioners, to live with his behaviour.

Another neighbour said that Gascoigne has urinated over his balcony, vomited in the hallway, spat and also hurled glass bottles off his balcony, adding that he goes out of mind when he is drinking.

Other neighbours have claimed that the former Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Rangers idol has upset elderly women in the block by strolling around naked and has even threatened violence against pensioners who have called police.
