Geri Halliwell's fiance Christian Horner has taken an initiative to heal the rift with his parents ahead of his wedding to the former Spice Girl.
The 41-year-old Formula One Red Bull boss' parents, who were refusing to go to the wedding, were devastated after he left his former partner of 14 years, Beverley Allen, just months after the couple had a baby and later started seeing Halliwell, the Mirror reported.
Sources say that Horner, who has resolved his differences with the 47-year-old mother of one-year-old Olivia, hopes the agreement between the former pair will help to convince his parents he has "done the right thing" so they will accept Halliwell into the family.
An insider said that it has been a very messy break-up and Allen, who is eager to put it all behind her, is pleased they've come to an agreement.
The source added that Horner is clearly keen to patch things up with his parents.
