A 116-metre skyscraper in Frankfurt, Germany, was recently destroyed in seconds in the largest controlled explosion ever in Europe.
The record-setting demolition was witnessed by thousands of spectators from afar.
According to a German newspaper, to blow up the 41-year-old former university tower, 950 kilogrammes of explosives was required, Sky News reported.
It is also worth noting that the building was initially going to be demolished little by little, but when residents objected to lengthy and noisy demolition work, authorities decided to blast it in one go.
