Hamburg airport in northern Germany was evacuated on Sunday, after many people suffered breathing trouble due to an unknown toxin, media reports said.
Reports suggested that the unknown substance or toxin could have spread through the airport's air-conditioning system.
According to the German news agency DPA, people at the airport reported of having breathing problem and irritation in their eyes.
An airport official said that services were initially halted due to the evacuation, but got resumed after some time.
Authorities are trying to determine the cause of the incident.
