Ahead of their final meeting in the Premier League, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho credited Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard in making him a 'better manager'.
Mourinho said that his 'dear enemy' Gerrard had made him a better manager because to stop him was really difficult, the BBC reported.
He added that he tried to rope in the Liverpool captain three times to his club, but all in vain.
Gerrard had almost signed for Chelsea during Mourinho's first spell as in-charge of the Blues in 2005, and the Portuguese revealed that he also wanted the Reds captain at Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
Mourhino added that unlike the English managers, he would have successfully paired the mid-fielder with ex-Chelsea player Frank Lampard, had Gerrard joined the Blues.
