Ghatowar leads Indian goodwill delegation of parliamentarians to Asghabat

Paban Singh Ghatowar, Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (Independent change) and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs leading a Parliamentary delegation carried a message of President Pranab Mukherjee on behalf of the people of India congratulating the People of Turkmenistan on the occasion of their Independence Day in Ashgabat today.

Parliamentary delegation presented the message to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on reaching Asghabat this morning.

The delegation will be in Turkmenistan from 26th October, 2013 to 28th October and in Armenia from 29th October to 1st November, 2013. During this visit the delegation will deliberate on issues of mutual interest and ways to strengthen the friendly bilateral relations with the two countries.

 

Turkmenistan is celebrating its National day on Sunday 27 October 2013. In Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, the delegation is to attend various functions, ceremonies, cultural and arts concerts and holiday parade in honour of the 22nd anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan.

The itinerary include meeting with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Chairperson of Turkmenistan Akja Nurberdiyeva, attending the dramatized holiday ceremony in celebration of the 22nd anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan, witnessing the holiday parade in Ason the occasion of 22nd Anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan and witnessing the cultural concert, holiday fireworks, horse races and holiday ceremonies dedicated to the 22nd Anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan.

In Armenia in the Capitol City of Yerevan, the delegation will hold meeting with members of the bilateral India-Turkmenistan Friendship Group at National Assembly of Republic of Armenia, meeting with members of National Assembly of Republic of Armenia, meeting with Serzh Sargsyan, President of Republic of Armenia and meetings with Parliament Standing Committees on Foreign Affairs, Science and Education.

Ten Members of Parliament including Chief Whips/Whips of various political parties comprises the delegation.
