Glen Campbell to be honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

Glen Campbell will be awarded with the lifetime achievement honor at the 5th Annual Hollywood Music in Media Awards in November.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 78-year-old country music legend, had recently released his final recording 'I'm Not Gonna Miss You' for the documentary 'Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me,' which archives his struggles with Alzheimer's.

The singer, who has a career spanning almost five decades, has a collection of accolades, which includes 5 Grammys, 5 Grammy Hall of Fame honors, 7 Academy of Country Music Awards, 3 American Music Awards, 2 Country Music Association Awards, 3 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards and a Pioneer Award honor.

 

Campbell, known for '60s and '70s hits such as 'Gentle on My Mind,' 'Galveston' and 'Rhinestone Cowboy,' has more than 70 albums to his credit and has sold more than 45 million records. He was also induced into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005.
