American ace golfer Dustin Johnson has refused allegations that he has got a problem with cocaine, saying that too much drinking caused his absence from the sport.

Johnson, an eight-time winner on the PGA Tour, had announced his absence six months ago, saying that the break would improve his mental health, physical well-being and emotional foundation.

It was also alleged that the golfer had been serving a six-month after testing positive for cocaine.

Dismissing alleged issue with cocaine, Johnson said that he had issues, but that was not the issue, the BBC reported.

Johnson further said that he didn't miss waking up with a hangover and he didn't drink very often, adding that it was just when he did it was a little too much, the report added.
