Extending a helping hand to the victims of Nepal earthquake, New Zealand golfer Lydia Ko has vowed to donate any money won at this week's North Texas Shootout LPGA Tour golf event to the disaster-struck country's relief fund.
The world number one enters the tournament as the favourite and would bag the top prize of 195,000 dollars if she lives up to the billing.
Recalling the 2011 Christchurch earthquake, Ko said that they had a big one in New Zealand and it affected a lot of people, adding that there is still evidence of what happened there.
While expressing her sympathies with the earthquake victims, Ko said that she wanted to donate the tournament's earnings to the innocent and nice people of Nepal, Stuff.co.nz reported.
The death toll from the 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Nepal has reached more than 5000 and expected to rise.
