Google has reportedly acquired Divide, a software company which allows corporations to manage employees' smartphones.

According to PC World, the app is built around the company's BYOD (bring your own device) mobile platform which is designed to let workers merge professional apps and personal apps to their smartphone.

The company's website states that employees enjoy privacy on their personal device as well as a suite of professional-grade business apps to get the work done.

Divide said Monday that it was being acquired by Google, and that its members would be joining Google's Android team.

However, Google declined to comment on the matter.
