Google has apologized for the image of its Android mascot urinating on an Apple logo which was posted to Google Maps through Map Maker.
According to the Verge, Google said in a statement that it was sorry for "inappropriate user-created content" and that they were working to remove it as soon as possible.
Google spokesperson Mara Harris said that they are improving on how to "detect, prevent and handle bad edits".
The visual that has now been removed was located in Pakistan near the city of Rawalpindi, and added to Google Maps through Map Maker, a feature that allows users to add content and additional information to Google Maps.
