Google has reportedly drawn Microsoft's ire after the search engine publicised a security flaw in Windows which put some users at risk.

Google posted details of the bug online even before a patch to fix the issue was released, reported the BBC.

The disclosure was part of Google's Project Zero initiative that aims at pressurizing firms to deal with security issues more quickly.

Several security researchers disapproved of Google's actions.
