Italy's data protection watchdog has fined Google with NZD 1.6 million as the cars used by Google were not distinctly recognizable.

People complained that the cars were not clearly recognizable and they did not get any chance of deciding whether they want to get clicked or not.

The fine is related only to vehicles which were not distinctly labeled. It is also reported that Google accidently some electronic communications as part of research in the country, Stuff.co.nz reported.

Google has been charged with lawsuits by other countries too. Countries like the US and Germany have also fined Google for several services including Street-view.
