The Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet on Tuesday approved the appointment of Hasmukh Adhia as the new Financial Services Secretary.
Adhia was earlier Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department in Gujarat.
A 1981 batch IAS officer, Adhia will be replacing the incumbent Gurdial Singh Sandhu.
