Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday said that the NDA Government has been in 'action mode' since it came to power last year.

"Our government has been in 'action mode' and not in 'silent mode'. If there is any fast growing economy after China in the world, it's India; and the world is acknowledging this fact. Just by the transparent auction of only 27 coal mines, Rs. 1,91,000 crore has been added to the national treasury," Singh said while addressing a rally in Jammu.

"We have launched the 'Make In India' scheme. So many foreign investors are coming to India. Earlier they used to be reluctant to invest in India. Today, people from various countries are investing here. They will set up factories and industries which create employment opportunities here. We will manufacture world class products," he added.

The Home Minister further questioned the Congress Party over its 'misgovernance' in the past decade.

"Today, I would like to ask the Congress did we have a shortage of human resources or natural resources when they were in power. Then, why is the country in this state today," said Rajnath.

"Prime Minister Modi decided we will not let a single family in our nation without a bank account, and we launched Jan Dhan Yojana. We've taken initiatives for socio-economic security of people of the nation and launched 'Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana', 'Atal pension Yojana' as well," he added.

Prime Minister Modi had earlier in a message on the first anniversary of his government expressed happiness to witness the nation on "the fast path of development" and said that the world is optimistic about India and enthusiastic about exploring the opportunities that the country has to offer.
