Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday alleged that the BJP-led NDA regime is a complete failure in creating employment.
"The biggest problem with the government is that they are doing nothing for job creation. The government is a complete failure on job creation, this is my main point," Gandhi told the media outside Parliament here when asked to comment on President Pranab Mukherjee's address.
Another Congress leader Ahmed Patel said the President's address was disappointing and did not address any real challenges.
"It is merely a collection of govt's failed promises," he tweeted.
"Did the President's Address mention anything about data on demonetisation, failure to create new jobs, rail safety?" he said in a series of tweets.
Addressing the Parliament earlier in a joint session of both Houses as is customary ahead of the Budget Session, President Mukherjee said that the government with motto of 'Har Haath ko Hunar' has taken several steps for skilling youth and improving their employability.

He added that National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme has been launched with a budget outlay of Rs. 10,000 crore.
President Mukherjee said resilience and forbearance demonstrated by countrymen recently in fight against black money and corruption is remarkable.
The President said the Direct Benefit Transfer Programme of subsidies through the JanDhan-Aadhar-Mobile trinity has prevented leakages and helped save Rs. 36 thousand crores.
Despite stiff opposition from the opposition parties, the government advanced the budget presentation to February 1, saying it would ensure important policy changes are implemented by April 1 when the new fiscal year begins.
The economic survey will be tabled today by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who will present the Budget tomorrow.
In a first, the Rail Budget has also been merged with the Union Budget.
