Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Tariq Anwar today said that the government has not dealt with the CSAT issue in the right way.

"The government has not dealt with this issue in the right way. They should have maintained a clear stand on it, which they have not," said Anwar.

Meanwhile, Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D. Raja called the government a confused one.

"The government is very confused. It should come forward for a debate on the issue," said Raja.

In a bid to resolve the CSAT row, the government has taken a decision that the marks of English section will not be included for merit. This decision did not appease the protesting students completely as they want the CSAT to be scrapped entirely.
