Rashid Alvi, a senior Congress leader told ANI today that the undergraduate programme in Delhi University should be for three years only.
"There should be no risk taken as we are talking about the future of the students. The ongoing friction between the UGC and Delhi University is unfortunate," said Alvi.
The first cut-off list for admissions to the Delhi University was supposed to come out on Tuesday but has been deferred following the UGC's directive to the University to dispense with the FYUP. The conflict has affected thousands of students who are waiting to get admission in the prestigious university.
