'Gravity' has topped nominations at the 12th annual Visual Effects Society Awards in eight categories.
Alfonso Cuaron's space drama, starring Sandra Bullock, is up for the top prize of Outstanding Visual Effects in a Visual Effects-driven Feature, as well as awards for Created Environments, Outstanding Compositing and Simulation Animation, Contactmusic reported.
Following Gravity with the most nominations in features is 'Pacific Rim', with six, and 'Iron Man 3' and 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug', with five each.
The awards will be handed out at the Beverly Hilton hotel in California on February 12.
