Negotiators from Greek creditors have started arriving in Athens to begin discussions on a third euro bailout deal.
According to the BBC, the European Commission said that the talks had begun while a Greek government spokeswoman Olga Gerovasili said that high-level talks will only begin later this week.
Gerovasili said that senior negotiating staff would only arrive in Athens on Thursday or later.
She added that it was up to Greek creditors as to when they begin the talks.
European Commission spokeswoman Mina Andreeva said that teams from institutions have arrived in Athens and they are starting talks immediately.
