Former Australian batsman Greg Ritchie is listed to act as master of ceremonies at the Queensland Cricketers' Club pre-Test function at the Gabba on November 30, a year after he was embroiled in controversy because of his uttering of a certain 'k' word.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, it was at the Gabba members' dining room last November that Ritchie gave a lunch speech that left him embroiled in controversy because of his uttering of a certain 'k' word frowned upon in South Africa and a joke about Muslims.

However, all has been forgiven and Ritchie will appear on stage at an event boasting a guest list including Michael Vaughan, Graeme Hick and Australian coach Darren Lehmann, the report said.

Meanwhile, Cricket Australia said that they would be vigilant in taking action against anyone in a venue used by CA who does not adhere to their anti-racism code.
