Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers on Monday formed a human flag measuring one lakh square feet to mark the 35th foundation day of the party in the Dahod region of Gujarat.
The party flag, comprising of around 25,000 party workers, is reportedly the largest human flag of any political party across the world.
According to reports, 33 percent of the human flag was made by party's women workers, who wore green sarees, while the saffron part of the flag was made up of party workers wearing saffron t-shirts and caps. Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers formed the black border in the human flag.
The organisers of the event also took photographs of the human flag with an overhead drone.
Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel and state BJP president RC Faldu were also present at the event.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings to all the party workers and well wishers of the BJP.
