Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today met the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President, Amit Shah, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during her visit to the national capital.
Talking to the media about her meeting with the party president, the Gujarat chief minister said, "Gujarat will go on by-polls; I have come to discuss about the nine assembly seats and on one Lok Sabha seat of Gujarat which is going on by-polls with our national president."
The bypolls had been necessitated as BJP MLAs vacated their seats on getting elected to Lok Sabha, while the Vadodara seat has been vacated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who decided to retain Varanasi, the other constituency from where he had been elected to the Lok Sabha.
