The Supreme Court on Sunday directed the Election Commission of India (ECI) to not appoint officers who have disciplinary proceedings against them at key posts in Gujarat Elections.

The polls in Gujarat will be conducted in two phases - December 9 and 14.

The counting of the votes is on December 18.
