Gujjars continue stir seeking reservation in govt jobs

Hundreds of members had blocked railway tracks in Rajasthan yesterday

Gujjar community people agitating to demand reservation in government jobs and educational institutions for their community on Delhi-Mumbai railway track near Bayana village in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan.

The Gurjar Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti agitation for 5% reservation in government jobs continued for the third day on Saturday in Rajasthan's Bharatpur district.

Hundreds of members of the Gujjar community had blocked railway tracks in Rajasthan yesterday, intensifying their agitation.

Several trains were also diverted to alternate routes following the protest by the Gujjar community.
 

The agitators had on Thursday also blocked the Delhi-Mumbai railway tracks near Chhokar in Bharatpur, affecting rail traffic and causing inconvenience to passengers.
