Gunman who opened fire in FSU library identified as former student

Officials have revealed that the gunman who went on a shooting spree at Florida State University's library wounding three people was a former student.

According to CBS News, there is also indication, according to police records in New Mexico that he was mentally distressed.

The shooter has been identified as 31year old Myron May.

May, who graduated from Florida State in 2005 and Texas Tech Law School in 2009, was fatally shot early Thursday after he opened fire at FSU's Strozier Library, injuring three people.

The report said that two of the victims were hospitalized and one had been released.
