Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal's advisor Harcharan Bains on Monday said the Punjab Police is giving a befitting reply to the terrorists, who have attacked the Dina Nagar Police Station in border district of Gurdaspur.
"We have been able to limit the area of operation to the police station. They are holed up there, they are surrounded, we are on top of the situation," Bains told ANI.
"The Punjab Police have surrounded those people, the entire area has been cordoned off....Punjab Police is dealing with the situation, the other forces are standing by for any possible help that we might require," he added.
One militant has been killed while a Punjab Special Service Group (SSG) jawan has sustained injuries in the ongoing operations.
The death toll in the attack has risen to ten, according to latest reports. Four civilians have also sustained injuries.
