To mark the 18th Kargil Vijay Diwas, the DLF Foundation, in partnership with NGO Citizen4Forces, hosted 'Symphony of Victory', a series of events dedicated to the heroes in uniform who perished in the line of fire.

Students from Ridge Valley School, Gurugram, invoked the spirit of patriotism through their heartfelt singing.

The band and the choir synchronized their notes perfectly and charged the ambience with 'Bande hain hum uske, hum pe kis ka zor, ummedon ke sooraj, nikle chaaron oar..'

The students saluted the Kargil War heroes and the motherland.

The profound ceremony was graced by the family members of some of the slain soldiers.

Students Kabir Gupta and Ananya Bahl presented a token of appreciation and regard to the parents of Capt. Vikram Batra.

Vivaan Bhardwaj and Shambhavi Parashar presented it to the father of Capt. Amit Verma.

Arpita Sondhi and Karma Tashi extolled the mother of Capt. Vijayant Thapar, Mrs. Tripta Thapar, as the audience gave a standing ovation to them.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Tripta Thapar urged everyone to remember the sacrifices of the martyrs.

She ended her inspiring speech by singing lines from the intensely patriotic 'Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo'.
