Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Friday claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is targetting him for alleged corruption to safe itself from similar exposure, and added that he was least bothered about this development.
"I am least bothered because their three ministers have been exposed. For their own safety, they are attacking the Congress Chief Ministers. But in the end truth wins. In Himachal, the BJP is already exposed. The people of Himachal Pradesh are aware about their misdeeds," he told ANI here.
The Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister pointed out that he has always come clean whenever allegations of corruption have been leveled against him.
"When Prem Kumar Dhumal was the Chief Minister of Himachal, he put two allegations on me.. but I came out with a clean chit," he added.
The BJP has accused Virbhadra Singh of taking bribe from an energy firm for giving it a 10-month extension. The party also accused Singh of evading tax.
The development came a day after the BJP released a sting video to level corruption charges against Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat.
