It turns out that Hollywood megastar George Clooney just couldn't sleep after he read a negative review about his film 'The Monuments Men' earlier this year.

According to leaked Sony emails, the 53-year actor, who recently got married, was so shocked by the bad reaction that he had written to Sony Pictures co-chair Amy Pascal saying that he hadn't slept in 30 hours and needed a "protection from all the reviews," the Independent reported.

But even with Pascal's response to his plight saying that "We will protect you by making money... that's the best revenge," Clooney didn't seem satisfied and sent another anguished email expressing he regretted his work on the film, and that it won't happen again.

The Independent's review of the film, which Clooney had also directed and co-wrote, described it as a "profoundly frustrating and unsatisfying film," and the movie had scored only 31 percent on the Rotten Tomatoes website.
