Out-of-favour Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Brad Haddin has admitted that his performances with the bat led to his axing during the recent Ashes series, and added that he had nobody except himself to blame for it.
Reflecting on the selectors' decision to drop him, Haddin said he was responsible for being in that position.
The 37-year-old further revealed that he was aware of the consequences that come with professional sport.
Earlier, according to news.com.au, Haddin ruled himself out of the second Ashes Test due to family reasons and was expected to come back when available.
But the selectors decided to stick with his replacement Peter Nevill for the rest of the series.
Haddin in the Cardiff Test, before making his way back to Australia, scored 22 and seven.
Haddin made his Test debut against the West Indies in 2008 and has scored over 3000 runs, including four centuries and 18 half centuries.
