The International Cricket Council (ICC) has said that Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has been reported for a suspect bowling action during the first Test against New Zealand in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

The ICC said that the match officials' report, handed over to the Pakistan team manager Moin Khan, expressed concerns over the legality of Hafeez's bowling action, reported Sport24.

The 34-year-old will now be required to undergo testing within 21 days as per the ICC guidelines but will be allowed to continue bowling in international cricket until the results of the test are known.

Hafeez is the second Pakistani cricketer, besides off-spinner Saeed Ajmal, to be reported for a suspect bowling action this year.
