Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Sayeed has urged the Pakistani government to declare jihad against India in a rally on Friday and criticized an 'unprovoked' Indian firing along the working boundary and the Line of Control.

A large number of JuD workers assembled on the Karachi Press Club to condemn Indian aggression, reported Dawn.

The participants carried banners and placards inscribed with the demand to wage jihad against India in the rally, shouted slogans and vowed to lay down their lives to defend their country.

Besides JuD's Karachi chief Dr Muzammil Iqbal Hashmi, Jamaat-i-Islami, leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan also addressed the rally.
