Vice President Hamid Ansari today reached the Great mosque of Xian and the giant wild goose pagoda on his first bilateral visit to China.
Ansari reached Beijing on Thursday to hold bilateral discussions with his counterpart Li Yuanchao and to attend events to mark the 60th anniversary of Panchsheel Agreement.
He said yesterday, "We are having a bilateral visit and it's the 60th anniversary of Panchsheel treaty. All matters of bilateral agenda will be taken up,"
This is the first visit of an Indian leader to China after the BJP-led NDA government came to power last month.
