Former Pakistan captain Hanif Mohammad's grandson has reportedly revealed that the cricketer is making a steady recovery from the stroke he suffered a couple of days earlier.

Hanif's grandson Shehzar Mohammad said that doctors at the Aga Khan Hospital had carried out MRI tests and other procedures earlier this week and confirmed that Hanif has suffered a stroke.

According to The Dawn, Shehzar also added that due to the stroke Hanif had developed some speech problems but he is now making a steady progress and currently undergoing 'physiotherapy' and 'speech therapy' sessions.

The former opening batsman Hanif, who is also known as the 'Little Master', was rushed to hospital on Sunday evening because of high fever, vomiting and dizziness, the report added.

Hanif reportedly underwent a cancer surgery last year in London to remove the right lobe of his liver.
