Patidar Ananmat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) convener Hardik Patel on Monday met with former chief minister of Gujarat Keshubhai Patel and demanded action against the 'police atrocities' on the Patidars after a rally in Ahmedabad on August 25.

"Police has tortured us and there was lathi-charge as well without any order. We will discuss about this. There must be case against the police," Patel told the media here.

"Many lawyers are with us in this. The children were beaten badly in the custody. We did not burn the buses. We were picked up from our houses and case has been filed against us," he added.

Patel further said Keshubhai Patel gave his blessings and asked them to carry on their movement through non-violence.

Hardik is expected to meet Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today to discuss the same issue.
