Australian fast bowler Ryan Harris has said he believes that his team has 'muddled the head' of England batsman Jonathan Trott and forced him to change his batting technique.

Although Trott, averaging 89, destroyed England's arch-rivals in the 2010-11 Ashes in Australia, he was not a factor in the recent Ashes in England where he averaged 29 with no centuries.

According to News.com.au, Harris, who returns from a hamstring injury for Queensland in the Ryobi Cup, said that Australia's blueprint of bouncing Trott early and then teasing him with full, wider out-swingers had confused him and forced him to change his game, adding that Australia is planning to use the same plan again in the 'return' Ashes.

Stating that Trott did not come as hard as Australia as he ought to during the summer Ashes, Harris also said that they used to bowl shorter deliveries and a delivery swinging away a little bit wider, which had clearly confused Trott.

Harris, who has dismissed Trott five times in seven Tests, will be a key for Australia in the return Ashes, the report added.
