Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan will be leaving for Dhaka this afternoon on a 5-day visit to attend meetings of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and enhance bilateral cooperation with Bangladesh.
He will be a part of the 32nd meeting of the Ministers of Health of WHO South East Asia Region due to be held tomorrow.
He will also take part in the 67th Session of WHO Regional Conference of South East Asia which is scheduled to take place from Wednesday.
During his visit to the neighbouring country, Dr. Harsh Vardhan is expected to meet Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and hold discussions with his Bangladeshi counterpart Dr. Mohammad Nazim for enhancing co-operation in the health sector between the two countries.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on co-operation in the field of traditional systems of medicine and homeopathy will be signed during the visit according to a press release issued by the Indian High Commission.
