The Haryana Government has decided to purchase 600 new buses, which will increase the number of vehicles in the Haryana Roadways fleet to 4600.

According to reports, Haryana State Transport Minister Ram Bilas Sharma has also announced that 76 water coolers and 119 Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems will also be stalled at various depots of the Haryana Roadways to facilitate the passengers.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has given approval for these projects, saying that the Bharat Stage (BS) emission norms will be taken care of as these help in bringing down pollution level.

Khattar said that the department has set a target to increase the number of buses to 5000 by the end of next year.
