Haryana Excise and Taxation Minister, Kiran Chaudhary was injured when some unidentified men hurled stones at her during a rally at Koriawas village in Narnaul district last evening.
Chaudhary suffered injuries on her head and chest and fell unconscious.
She was first hospitalised at Narnaul Civil Hospital and later shifted to a private hospital in Gurgaon.
Giving details of the attack, state Congress leader Chandra Prakash said while the minister was speaking on the dais suddenly stones were hurled on her, as a consequence of which she had got a head and chest injury.
"The rally had started and in just 2 or 3 minutes a stone came hitting the minister from the left side. It injured her head and soon another one hit her on the chest. The minister took hold of herself and sat down when another stone came flying past through my ear. All of us sat down to escape and saw that the stones were thrown from some place at a height. We rushed the minister to the hospital. Somebody must have conspired," he said.
