HBO Europe has given its consent to the six-part spy drama, 'Oblivious'.
Set in the late 1980s in the Czech Republic, the series will be helmed by Ivan Zacharias from 'Wasteland' fame.
The announcement was made on Sunday at the Karlovy Vary international film festival, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.
"Our intention is now always to do originals in the future; we have got to know the talent pool [over the past five or six years] and feel confident that there are stories in the region to tell and it is my job to go and look for them," The Hollywood Reporter quoted HBO Europe's Vice President of Drama Development, Steve Matthews, as saying.
HBO Europe has been producing original series in nine territories across Central Europe, Scandinavia and Spain since 2011, with upcoming productions in Poland, Sweden, Croatia, Norway and Hungary.
