The Delhi High Court on Monday issued notices to Union Finance Ministry, Delhi government and Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment to respond to a writ petition filed by a differently-abled person for getting a refund on excess tax paid by him.

Sandeep, a person with benchmark disability, had filed a petition in the High Court after getting no relief from the authorities. He claimed that he made a lot of effort to get a refund of the excess amount paid as Goods and Services Tax (GST) while purchasing a car.

In this regard, the High Court bench headed by Justice S. Ravinder Bhat on Monday asked both Union Ministries to file their response within four weeks. The matter will now be heard on February 14, 2019.
