Normal life has been affected in several places of Rajasthan following incessant rain since last few days.
Low lying areas in Chittorgarh, Jodhpur, Pali, Bharatpur and Karauli have been submerged in water due to incessant rain.
The district administrations of respective areas have geared up the machinery to provide relief to people who are stranded in flood water.
Though rain in Jodhpur district has stopped but still several villages are submerged in water.
The people are being rescued from the affected areas with the help of helicopters.
The people of Chittorgarh district did not get respite from rainfall today also.
This is also affecting rescue operations in inundated areas. Several rivers in Chittorgarh are overflowing.
Villagers living nearby Chambal river in Karauli district have been evacuated to safer places in view of release of water from Bisalpur and Kota barrage.
Meanwhile 247 dams out of 822 have been filled following good monsoon.
