Heavy rains have destroyed crops in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri and Cooch Behar Districts.
Torrential rains have damaged paddy and vegetable seeds, which were ready for yield.
"We can't work in the fields, can't plough, all the seeds which we have sown, have been destroyed. Now, the main worry is how to resolve this," said Mohammad Kasim Ali, a farmer.
Kamal Dey, another farmer, said: "The poor common man is facing problems because of the rain. We are facing losses after the sowing of the seeds."
Most of farmlands in the region have been inundated with water.
