Based in Mauritius, Indian focused business enterprise Helion Venture Partners has raised 300 million dollars for startups in India.

According to TechCrunch, Helion is the latest company to raise money for investments in India.

With its new fund, Helion is targeting early to mid stage tech startups in India.

According to Helion co-founder Sanjeev Aggarwal, the fund is expected to last for three to four years.

Aggarwal said that the company resisted the temptation to raise more in order to stick to its niche in spite of the face that India's startup and investment scene has taken off in a major way this year.
