Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) party leader Hemant Soren is likely to take an oath as Jharkhand's ninth chief minister on Saturday.

"We are making this government for Jharkhand's progress. We will not compromise on the development," he said.

The Union Cabinet has request President Pranab Mukherjee to revoke President's rule in Jharkhand. Soren met Jharkhand Governor on July 9 and claimed to have the support of 43-MLA's in the 82-member assembly.

The President's rule was imposed in the state on January 18 after the fall of the BJP-led coalition government headed by Arjun Munda.
