Eminem has revealed how he overcome drug addiction with the help of intensive workouts and exercise sessions after leaving rehabilitation centre, when he weighed more than 100 kilograms.

The 'Love the Way You Lie' hit-maker said in a recent interview that he was almost 104 kg when he entered rehab after he overdosed on pills back in 2007, which left him with a hole in his stomach by constantly eating food, but he didn't lose hope and began running 27km a day on a treadmill that also helped him to sleep, News.com.au reported.

The 42-year-old American rapper added that with the help of obsessive exercise regimen and also by keeping a check on his calorie intake he managed to lose 37kg, and got down to a healthy weight of 67kg.

Later, the legend rapper also started training seeing Shaun T's fitness programs and got so serious with this that initially when he did that he wasn't able to walk for two days.

Notably, as per Eminem's previous interview the singer's drug addiction got worst in 2005, when he started mixing pills that was equal to four bags of heroin, and with this his health was so deteriorating that if he wouldn't have taken to the hospital on time then he would have died.

The artist committed two of his albums Relapse in 2009 and Recovery in 2010 to detail the process of weaning himself off drugs.
