Rome [Italy], Nov 14 (ANI): With the chant of 'Har Har Mahadev' and 'Ab Yeh Vivah Sampann Hua', at 1.05 PM Italian time, Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were declared man and wife at the beautiful Villa Del Balbianello in northern Italy.
The Konkani ceremony stretched for more than 5 hours.
The couple was surrounded by friends and family members dressed in white attires on the villa's famous patio overlooking the lake. The venue was decorated with hundreds of white roses.
At the same time a number of large boats were seen at the villas main peer in preparation to take the guests back to the luxurious CastaDiva resort across the lake from the Villa del Balbianello.
Also at the same time, a beautiful vintage EURO 500,000 Riva Tritone vintage boat appeared at the villa. The captain of the vessel told us that he would be taking the couple back to CastaDiva in ultimate Italian luxury and style.
The couple will again get married in a Sindhi ceremony tomorrow.
The couple had arrived at the Villa earlier today. Guests too arrived at the same time to attend the Konkani style wedding ceremony.
A group of 30 or 40 guests stood around the railings of the patio, shielding the couple who were seated on the floor as the strains of a pandit's chanting stretched across this most bucolic of locations.
Security was extraordinarily tight as small powerboats manned by beefy security guards sailed around the smaller boat filled with journalists.
