Several hill stations in Himachal Pradesh received their first ever snowfall of the season, thereby bringing cheer to tourists.
In state capital Shimla, roads, trees and rooftops were covered with snow, presenting an enchanting view for tourists and residents.
"I am from Delhi and this is the first time I am witnessing snowfall. Although I come here often, especially during Christmas, but this is the first time I am witnessing heavy snowfall," said a tourist, Sanjeev.
"It's really nice, we are enjoying a lot. Although the weather is cold here, but we are enjoying a lot," said another tourist Priyanka.
The temperature in the hilly region also plummeted several notches below freezing point.
Similar scenes were also witnessed in neighbouring Dharamsala.

The snow-capped hills added to the beauty of Dharamsala, a favourite destination for tourists during the winters.
Locals welcomed snowfall, saying they expected to attract more tourists.
"It is the first snowfall of this season. Today, many tourists will be seen thronging hills and as its Christmas, so having snowfall means a lot," said Harish, a local resident.
The state has experienced a lean tourist season so far, but the snowfall is expected to bring cheer to the hospitality ndustry.
