The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Friday said that emphasis should be given on Hindi to make it a global language.

"Everybody stresses on their own language. I think we should stress on Hindi for the same reason and make it a global language as Hindi language is pivotal," MEA official spokesperson Vikas Swarup told ANI here on the sidelines of the tenth World Hindi Conference.

He further said that getting jobs in foreign companies are easier by learning Hindi and added that it would encourage the students to study the language.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday inaugurated the 10th World Hindi Conference, which is being held in India after a gap of 32 years.
